Frequently Asked Questions:
Q: How Many Lumens For An Outdoor Light?
A: This all depends on what you are trying to illuminate. For Example if you wanted to use an Up/Down Wall Light at the front of your home you would want to use a 6/7w GU10 that will emit up to 600 lumens. However for a lantern style light for your porch you may only want a subtle welcoming glow, so you would use 4/5w lamp with up to 400 lumens. Also you may want to use a light fitting with a PIR function so this would act as a security light.
Q: How Much Electricity Does An Outdoor Light Use?
A: Luckily majority of lighting now used LED energy saving technology which is cool running. As an alternative light source  to halogen or incandescent lamps. For example a light fitting that used a 50W halogen can now use a 5w LED GU10.
Q: Are Outdoor Lights Waterproof?
A: Yes! All of our fittings are IP rated which means they are protected from ingress. The amount of protection you have will depend on the IP rating.  You have a solids and a water rating protection. For example the lowest IP rating we would use on a fitting is IP44 this is protected against solid objects greater than 1mm it is also Protected against water splashing against the enclosure from any direction.
